Recently, Apple has announced the Airtag tracker, which helps to detect items through Find my App on your Apple phone. Basically, it is a small device that uses Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology for detection. It comes in handy to detect small items like keys or even car & motorcycle parked in nearby space.
Further, the Apple tracker includes a built-in speaker, accelerometer, Bluetooth LE, and a user-replaceable battery, which according to apple, can last up to 1 year. Before that, Samsung had also launched a similar device named Galaxy SmartTag.
Now, another smartphone manufacturer Oppo arrives with a similar concept. According to a well-known Chinese tipster, Oppo is working on a UWB-based Tag tracker. Unlike the Apple Airtag, the Oppo tracker supports a USB Type-C port for charging. Hence, it doesn’t require replacing the battery, which makes it a more environment-friendly device.

The tipster has also shared some real-life images of this device. At first glance, the tracker looks like wireless charging coal. But it is a smart tracker. All in all, Oppo is ready to bring this device to the market. But we don’t have any information available regarding when the company will make it official. The functionality of the Oppo tracker is still unknown. We have to wait for the official launch to know more about this device. Stay in touch with us for more information!
