Xiaomi is one of the most popular brands when it comes to producing affordable smartphones. We have already seen some of the best budget-friendly smartphones from the company. Not only affordability, but the company is also focusing on innovations. We have already seen futuristic-looking “Mi Mix” phones, and lately, the company had demonstrated 3rd generation in-display selfie camera.
Now, the company patents a new type of camera design, which looks like a lightning-shaped rear camera module. However, the main purpose behind this design is not yet known, but it seems fascinating camera angle. Overall, four camera sensors can be seen in the provided image.

The patent comes with application number 2020306431394 and publication number CN306479491S. As you can see in the provided screenshot, the patent was filed on October 10, 2020, which gets approval on April 20, 2021, from China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA).
Overall, the company is likely to bring a new camera concept. But filing a patent doesn’t mean we will surely see this sort of product.
